open 1Password with new vault
I am using 1password on Mac OS and my primary vault is a shared account (where work-related passwords are stored). Now I wanted to use an additional, private vault. I've set up one and provided an new master password. Now I want to open both vaults using only the password of my new, private vault. I always get an error when I use this and 1password only lets me use the old password (of the primary vault). Can I change this somehow?
Thanks!

Hi @brek,
Thanks for providing such a clear description of your situation, this gives us a great place to start.
Now, there's no one-step-simple way to change which vault is considered your 'primary', so we'll need to essentially reset 1Password, and then add your personal vault first, and then your work vault.
Here's what we'll do:
- Backup your data, just in case. (File > Backup > Backup now)
- If you personal vault is not synced to Dropbox, we can use Folder Sync to create a .agilekeychain file of your vault and store it on your desktop so we can easily find it later.
- Follow the instructions in our knowledgebase to start over with a fresh vault.
- When you open 1Password for the first time, you'll have the opportunity to select existing data. Ensure that you have your personal vault data selected, and voila! Your personal vault will be your primary, and your work vault can be added as a secondary.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these steps! :)
