Wandering birthdays? [date/timezone bug fixed in 5.3, change date in item and resave to update]

Hi, I've had this problem before. Having input my family birthdays into the Identities section, I will come back a few months later and they will all have shifted forward by exactly one day and have to be manually reset. Can you offer a solution, please? Thanks, David

@David_: Indeed! We're way ahead of you here — but I'm afraid not so far ahead as to avoid you encountering this problem in the first place. I'm really sorry for the trouble. :(

In fact, we released 1Password for Mac (version 5.3, which you're already using) back in April, in part, to address this very issue. You can check out our blog post on the subject if you're interested in the details, but this is the part you need to know:

If you wish to correct these dates to the new UTC time zone setting, simply edit the date field and save the changes.

That's it! Again, I'm really sorry that you were affected by this, but I'm glad that you got in touch. Please let me know if you have any other questions! :)

@brenty : Thanks! I did an overseas trip in June which presumably triggered the problem. I have re-entered and saved the correct dates now. Luv 1Password :)

It sounds like we've put this particular issue to bed, but be sure to reach out if we can be of further assistance. We're here for you! :)
