Please Update Folder Deletion Prompt

Hey Guys,

Since there is no way to delete a folder without it trashing the items contained within would you be able to honor this small feature request? (1Password5 Mac)

Please update this folder deletion prompt

to read something to the effect of:

  • Confirm Delete

  • Do you really want to delete this folder? Its contents will be moved to the trash.
Restore your items from the trash if you wish to keep them.
If the trash is emptied before your items are restored those items will be deleted from your vault.

Some folks click "All items" and see all of their items including the ones in folders in one alphabetical list. (As they should because this is a list of all your items), however, since "All items" doesn't particularly have a way of indicating that XYZ items are in folder 123 (and it doesn't need too in my opinion), some unfamiliar with 1Password feel confident that they can delete the folders and the items because they perceive the folders to contain copies of their items which isn't the case.

I apologize if this post is in the wrong place.

Cordially,

Thomas

    Hi @Testwick,

Thanks so much for taking the time to send us your request - and don't worry, this is the perfect place to let us know! ;)

I'll be happy to send your suggestion to our developers. Hopefully we'll be able to make that message clearer in a future release. I agree that we definitely don't want to make this confusing for our customers!

If you need anything else, please let us know - we're always glad to help. :)
