Possible Bug with Secure Notes Name?

I noticed this morning that when I create a secure note on my iPhone and I start the note with an * something liked **READ ME it doesn't show up on my Mac or Windows version of 1Password. But I can see it on my iPhone. I'm not sure if the * causes it not to sync or prevents it from displaying? As soon as I remove the * from the beginning of the note it shows up on my other devices.

Anyone else seeing this behavior?

@imluckiest - Oddly, I cannot reproduce your observation. If I create a new Secure Note on my iPhone and make its title **Test Note, the asterisks show up properly on my Mac installation. Are we talking about the same thing? Perhaps you are starting the actual body of the note with the **READ ME, not making that your title?

I sync my devices through Dropbox, if that matters. How about you? iCloud, Dropbox, or another sync method?

@hawkmoth yes we are talking about the same thing. You are correct though when I just tried to create a new note it worked just fine but I have 3 old notes that were not showing up until I edited the title to remove the **.

I wonder if it's just because they are old notes? The only reason I noticed it is I use the ** to filter out thing like old vehicle information I keep in secure notes. I just bought a new car and when to star out my old car and couldn't find the other started out thing on my mac. I looked on my iphone and I could see them no problem.

I also sync via Dropbox. I'm using the newest version of both the mac 1Password and the iphone 1Password.

I guess it's not a problem as long and new notes are syncing. Thanks for following up :)

    Hi @imluckiest,

I'm glad to hear Dropbox sync seems to be working correctly now! It's possible there was a previous problem trying to sync those items, and making changes to them solved the problem. I think the fact that you removed the * symbols is a coincidence, and that making any change would likely have had the same effect.

I also just received a notice that Dropbox is "experiencing temporary service issues", so if you have more trouble with Dropbox sync today, that probably explains why. Hopefully Dropbox will have that all sorted out shortly!

If you run into other problems or have questions, please let us know. :)
