Installing on two Mac devices

I've had 1Pwd running on both a PowerMac and MacBook and syncing without problem. But now I'm getting a message saying that the version on my MacBook has run out of a free trial period.

I understand I should be able to use the same version of 1Pwd on more than one Mac under the one license.

But looking at topics here, it seems there's a difference between purchasing/downloading direct from you - or the App Store.

The version on my PowerMac was purchased via the App Store. And the one on my MacBook via you.

So I decided to delete the one on my MacBook as that's the one with the trial period warning. And then went to the AppStore to download another copy from there.

Can you explain how I avoid paying for a second download from the App Store as there doesn't seem any obvious way of doing this?

Thanks

It's the same as in the case of all bought apps which you wish to re-download. You just have to ensure you're logged in with the same Apple ID as you used when you originally bought 1P from the Mac App Store.

    Hi @DrStir,

Please let me know if Stephen's answer helped - he's correct, Apple associates all your purchases with your Apple ID, so you'll need to sign in with the same Apple ID that you made the original purchase in order to see the app in your purchase history.

Many thanks Stephen. I'd signed into the AppStore with another account - which is why the 1Pwd wasn't showing. Now all sorted :)
