You really need to provide some of the information marked Not Provided at the end of your post in order that someone can help you. In particular Please tell us:
- What version of 1P for Mac you are using
- If relevant, what version of 1Password for iOS you are using (if you're not syncing to iOS devices please tell us what platform your phone and tablet run on and what version of 1P you have on them)
- What sync method you use to sync your 1P data (Dropbox, iCloud or wifi)

Hi @pstraw,
We'll certainly work with you to get everything resolved but Stephen_C is correct, without knowing what exact versions you're running we may be giving instructions for the wrong one and causing massive confusion in the process.
I would also be curious to know what backup you used that resulted in the Master Password not being accepted. Is it possible you changed it recently and the backup was of the old one?
