I originally installed 1Passport and extensions on my MacPro. Now I downloaded 1Password for my wife's MacBook. synced through Dropbox and looks like it that worked. Now when I go to log into a site on her computer it shows the www and the login information but does not log in. I noticed that extension was not installed. I tried installing extension and I get the error that Safari cannot install that program on that machine. I checked the help section and rebooted her computer, that did not work, I then went to Preferences to extensions and there are none loaded. Rebooted again and still it will not install the extension. Please help.

    Hi @kevinhannah,

I'm sorry you're having some difficulty getting things set up on your wife's Mac!

So, it sounds like you installed the main 1Password app on her MacBook and were able to sync the data from Dropbox, and the only problem is installing the extension in Safari? If so, can you please let us know a few more details:

    • What version of Mac OS X is running on your wife's MacBook?
    • What exact version of the 1Password app is installed on her MacBook?
    • What version of Safari is she using?
    • What happens when you open the main 1Password app and go to 1Password > Install Browser Extensions... in the menu?
    • What is the exact error message you get when trying to install the extension? If possible, it would be great to see a screenshot of that.
    • You said there are no other extensions installed in Safari, but do you know if it's possible to install others? If you're able to try installing another extension in Safari, does it give the same error?

    Thanks in advance!
