Mac App Store...still 5 devices?
I want to purchase from the Mac App store for the iCloud syncing, but will I still have the 6 licenses? If so, how does that work? I know with iOS devices apps will have to be paid for each device. I don't find anything on the Mac app store about how many times (or if) it can be d/l w/o charge.
Thanks!
Tina

Hi @DaBombDiva,
Are you referring to sharing a licence with others by any chance? A single licence (per platform) can be used on as many devices of that type as you personally own. You can also share a single licence with up to five other family members in the same household. If you own the Mac App Store version of 1Password for Mac this is handled by Apple's Family Sharing because they handle all purchasing/licensing in Mac App Store applications. When you share the licence the terms apply to them too in that they can use 1Password on as many devices of that platform as they have.
We had hoped the in-app purchase would work the same as but alas it didn't turn out to be the case. So it ended up being a single purchase per Apple ID rather than device.
Does that help?

I believe that does. So as long as I get all my family members accept when I send them the invite, they can then download it to their macs?
Also, how long is the sale going on for? Sorry if this was mentioned elsewhere.

Hello @DaBombDiva,
That is what I understand to be the case. Once you've set up Family Sharing all future purchases go via the head of the family and you can set up if these should be authorised by you before proceeding. You can also then share any purchase any of you have made in the past too so it isn't confined just to purchases going forward. This page, Share purchased content with Family Sharing is the best resource I've managed to find so far but I feel it could be more instructive. While I'm aware of Family Sharing and know others have used it to share 1Password I don't have any personal experience of it myself to supply a more detailed overview - sorry about that.
