What's the master password for the additional vaults?
In my household, we have three vaults: his, hers, and ours. He remembers the master password for his. She remembers the master password for hers. One password remembers the master password for ours. This great because I can't remember more than one master password. Of course, I am describing two primary vaults and a shared secondary. I think I even remember reading that once you enter the master password for your shared vault, you never have to enter it again.
Well, it turns out that this is not quite true. We are trying to install one password on a new iPhone. We setup Dropbox, and said sync to existing (primary) vault (hers), and then tried to add the secondary. 1Password asks, "What's the master password for the shared secondary?" I have no idea. It's 1Password's job to remember that!
So is there a way to get 1Password to spill the beans? I am sure the master password for "ours" is stored in both "his" and "hers", but I can't seem to find it. I would very much like to simply "reveal" the master password for the shared secondary so I can type it in to the new iPhone.
Failing that, I do have a workaround. Create a new shared secondary ours2 with an new more memorable password. Then copy all the data from ours to ours2. Then add ours2 to all our devices. Finally erase the old shared secondary ours.
But I would rather go with plan A. Can anybody help me out?

Hi @cbedgar,
I'm sorry to hear you don't remember your master password for the secondary vault! If I understand your setup, you have 2 vaults in 1Password on your Mac (Primary "his" vault and secondary/shared "ours" vault), and your wife has 2 vaults in 1Password on her Mac (Primary "hers" vault and secondary/shared "ours" vault). You want to sync the "ours" vault to an iPhone, but you and your wife forget the master password for that vault. Is that all correct?
Although unlocking your Primary vault also unlocks your secondary vaults, I'm afraid there's no way to find the master password for secondary vaults in the Primary vault. To make a long story short, this is because master passwords aren't actually stored in vaults. In fact, they're not stored anywhere at all. This is part of what makes 1Password so secure (and incidentally, it is also the reason why we can’t recover a master password for you if you ever forget it). The Primary vault automatically unlocks secondary vaults by using their encrypted keys, not their master passwords.
If you created a hint for the master password for the secondary vault, maybe that hint will remind you what the master password is? To see the hint you set up for your secondary vault, open 1Password on your Mac, make sure it's locked, then switch to the secondary vault from the 1Password > Switch to Vault menu option. Try entering a wrong master password for the secondary vault a couple times, and it will show the hint.
If that doesn't help, and you can't figure out/remember your master password for the secondary vault, you'll need to go with plan B:
Create a new shared secondary ours2 with an new more memorable password. Then copy all the data from ours to ours2. Then add ours2 to all our devices. Finally erase the old shared secondary ours.
That's exactly what you would need to do if you can't remember the master password for that secondary vault. If you need more help with that or have any questions, please let us know - we're here for you! :)
