Not all folders visible in OSX
Hello everyone,
I created a 1Password database on a Windows computer. I created all different kind of folders like 'Finance', 'Social media', 'Work' etc.
I have about 15 different folders.
My girlfriend is using OSX. Yesterday I was working on her Macbook and opened my 1Password database. I noticed that not all folders were available on OSX.
I could see all my items but not all folders.
Is there a solution to fix this?
All the best,
DedSec85

Hi @DedSec85,
In order to give you the best help here, I'd like to know a little bit more about your 1Password ecosystem:
- What is the version number of 1Password that you have installed? (Please include the details for both the Mac and Windows machines)
- What is the version number of your operating system (for all computers and devices)?
- What are you using to keep things in sync?
The more detail you can provide, the more quickly we'll be able to get you sorted out! :)

Hi @Megan ,
I'm using the following 1Password versions:
Mac: 5.3.2
Windows: 4.6.0.585My Windows PC is running Windows 10 with the latest updates installed. My girlfriend's Macbook is running OSX Yosemite, also with the latest updates installed.
I created a share on my Synology DS214play and mounted that share as network mapping in Windows and OSX. I'm pretty much always working on my Windows 10 computer, that's where I created the DedSec85.agilekeychain file, which is saved on the network mapping.
However, yesterday I was working on the Macbook. I opened the DedSec85.agilekeychain with 1Password on OSX. I could see all my saved items like logins, bank-accounts, passwords and stuff like that, but the folders that I created in 1Password on Windows 10 were not all visible. I do see some folders, but not all of them.
Perhaps this is happening because Windows is using version 4 and OSX is using version 5?
Are there any plans to lift the Windows version to version 5 anytime soon? I really like version 5. It shows the number of items in a folder and it shows all categories in the left column. Those things are missing in version 4.
With kind regards,

Hi @DedSec85,
I'm wondering if this is an issue related to syncing with Synology or something else.
I'd like to ask you to create some Diagnostics Reports, one from each of your devices.
—Mac—
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/mac.html—Windows—
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/win.htmlAttach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com and please add "attn. AlexH" to the subject line.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Cheers!

Hi @AlexHoffmann ,
This issue seems to be solved. I delete the 1Password app completely from the Macbook, installed it again and open the vault again. Syncing worked perfectly and I could see all the folders I made. I even did some tests by creating and deleting some folders and items and after switching between the primary Macbook vault and my own vault, 1Password started syncing and showed all the changes made.
I'll keep checking and If anything strange occurs, I'll let you know.
All the best,
DedSec85p.s. I didn't notice that 1Password on OSX is working with a local copy of the vault's. I thought that all the action were real-time on the actual vaults so it seems that 1Password's behaviour on OSX is much different than on Windows. On Windows the changes are saved real-time in the vault.

Hi @DedSec85,
I'm happy to hear it's working correctly for you now! If you run into more problems, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
You're correct, the Mac and Windows versions of 1Password work differently as far as storing & syncing your data. 1Password for Mac stores your vault data in a local SQL database file. When you enable sync in 1Password for Mac, it syncs changes between the local database and the .agilekeychain sync file (and that sync file is then synced to other computers by the sync service you set up with Synology). On Windows, 1Password reads/writes directly to/from the .agilekeychain sync file.
If you run into more problems or need anything else, please let us know. :)
