How do I split off some of my 1Password vault, then share the split off portion with my wife?
I've been happily using 1Password for years, and have finally convinced my wife to adopt it. I maintain a number of passwords for her, and for both of us, that I'd like to split off into a separate vault, then share that new, split-off vault with her.
Please provide guidance on how to do so. Might it involve 1) duplicating my vault, then 2) deleting the items that are mine only from that duplicate, then 3) sharing that edited vault with my wife?

It's great to hear that you've been sharing the secure word with your wife - you rock!
Our user guide has a lot of information about how to set up and use Multiple Vaults. For your situation, I'd recommend the following setup:
- Your Primary vault, with all of your personal, don't-need-to-share-this information on your own computer and devices.
- Wife's Primary vault, with all of her personal, don't-need-to-share-this information on her computer and devices.
- A shared 'family' secondary vault for all of the items that you both need access to.
The general 'how-tos' of multiple vaults are included in the User Guide link above. If you have any questions about the documentation, please let me know where it stops making sense, and we'll begin there. :)

This is very cool. Now I have multiple Vaults, to enable sharing.
However, the first Vault I created way back before dirt is called, you guessed it, "Primary". How can I edit this Vault name, icon and color to fit in my spiffy, new multiple vault environment?
Unlike earlier, I've searched every combination of possibilities I can think of in the FAQ and Knowledge base, and have come up empty-handed.

Sadly there isn't a way to edit this sort of details and it kind of comes back to the fact that we added multi-vault support rather than it being included from the very start. So the first vault is always titled Primary and will always have an icon and colour that matches the 1Password icon. So you aren't missing anything despite your valiant attempts to search our knowledgebase. We do want to alter this at some point as people have expressed a desire to edit these details after the vault creation as well as to allow more meaningful naming of the primary vault. I just can't say when this will happen. Sorry it isn't a more positive answer.
