installing version 3.8.22 with versions 4 and 5
I have installed version 4 and 5 on my network and am now installing version 3 on a 10.6.8 machine. I search for existing data file in dropbox and select it. It then brings me to a window that says that version 3 is a major revision and it needs to update my database but it will still be compatible with version 2. Since version 3 is my lowest version on the network, I'm concerned about "upgrading" my database to that and making it unusable by versions 4 and 5. What should I do at that point or did I make a wrong turn earlier?

Hi @bobcorn,
Don't worry, the Agile Keychain format hasn't changed since 1Password 3 so no matter what this updating is it doesn't affect your ability to synchronise between copies of 1Password 3, 4 & 5. I see this message myself and I've never suffered any repercussions from it. Given how often I'm deleting and re-creating Agile Keychains and copies of 1Password I actually see this quite a bit (whenever I'm troubleshooting 1Password 3) and there's never been an issue so far.
So you've done nothing wrong, no wrong turns and I don't foresee any issue going forward. I hope that reassures but if you have questions do please ask
