I don't know how long the sale will last I'm afraid. We're given a quick heads up as to when it starts and that's about it. If you miss the sale we do have them on a reasonably regular basis or you can grab it now if you don't want to risk missing the reduced price.
The one thing to be aware of is you won't be able to run 1Password 5 on Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8). Your 1Password 5 licence will allow you to run 1Password 4 for Mac though which is the newest version compatible with Mountain Lion. If 1Password 3 is running on the Mac when you install and run 1Password 4 for the first time it will find your 1Password 3 vault and import it. It should be a seamless migration requiring no user intervention. It will even keep synchronising changes to 1Password 3 too.
I'm not sure what you mean about removing your email address. I see a registered email address here in the forums and as I've mentioned your name at the top of this post you will receive notification of this post. If you've submitted a fake address (I'm not sure if that's possible) then you won't receive notification.
