WhenI check for updates the program tells me I am running the latest version of 1 Password. The version is 3.8.22 Is that correct? I think it is not the most recent version.

@shawn_2221: 3.8.22 is the most recent release of 1Password 3 for Mac for OS X Lion and Snow Leopard. However, 1Password 4 was a paid upgrade released a few years ago, and it supports Mountain Lion and Mavericks; similarly, 1Password 5 was released last year and supports Yosemite (and soon El Capitan). I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

    Hi @shawn_2221,

I just checked our sales records and I noticed that you bought two licenses for version 5, and I want to make sure you know that one license can be shared with up to 5 other family members in your household, on as many Macs as you own. So most people only need one license. Do let us know if you need a refund for one of those. :)

But either way, thanks for your support, and we hope you like the new version! Here's a link to user guide to get you started:

Thank you for checking that out. I mistakingly thought I needed a license for my iMac and a separate one for my laptop. I would very much appreciate a refund. Thank you.

I am not sure how to proceed with upgrading now that I have purchased my license. I understand that I need to download the new 1Password program, but then what?

You got it! Sorry for the confusion there. I've refunded and deactivated one of those licenses, and I've sent your currently active licenses to you via email. Let us know if you don't see the funds returned to your account within about a week.

In that license email I just sent, under the heading 1Password 5 for Mac, you should see a link that says "Click here to Apply Your 1Password License." Once you have installed and set up 1Password 5, click that link, and it will open a page in your default browser which automatically downloads and applies your license to 1Password (like magic! Or, you know, technology!). This should take it out of trial mode, and your license file will be stored within 1Password in the Software Licenses category for future reference.

And here's our user guide, to get you started with the new version: 1Password 5 for Mac

That should do it for ya, but do let us know if you need any further assistance! :)

Also, if you're upgrading directly from 1Password 3 to 1Password 5, there's a great support article detailing the steps to perform the upgrade:

    https://support.1password.com/upgrade-mac/

That covers upgrading a single Mac. I just posted a forum question asking how to do this across multiple Macs without losing data:

    Thanks @ericsh!

I just replied to your other post about upgrading, so hopefully that helps. If you need more help with that, please reply to that discussion, just so we don't duplicate efforts or cause confusion between here and there. Thanks! :)
