I have had version 3.8 and after losing all functionality in Firefox 40 I upgraded to version 5. I cannot get a firefox extension. I get the message "the ext. cannot be loaded because of a connection failure with agilebits." I see the minibrowser on the main toolbar but there is no key on the firefox browser. Therefore there is no functionality in Firefox. I am mainly concerned at present with my mac computer which running 10.10. I have downloaded the troubleshooting utility but it spins a ball that won't quit when going for a diagnostic report.

@alectron1: Please restart your Mac. The 1Password Troubleshooting Tool uses OS X's built-in command line tools to gather information, so if it's hanging something may be very, very wrong on your Mac. Hopefully a simple reboot will clear things up. Then try installing the Firefox extension from our site again. If it's still giving an error, something is preventing Firefox from validating the connection, and then you'll need to consider if you have 'security' or other software that's interfering with the connection. Please let me know what you find! :)

I have turned off all virus softwear and added agilebits to firefox permissions. I tried to download the extension again and am still getting the connection failure message. This was done this morning after my Mac restarted for the day. 3.8 which I have been using 1 password for years, was downloaded from your site. 5 was bought from the Apple store. I still have 3.8 on my computer. 5 has automatically transferred all the files. Could 3.8 being present be causing the problem?

    Hi @alectron1,

Thanks for sending the report! I'll update the email thread with details from this forum discussion so it's easier for our support team to get up to speed with the issue. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible with more information, and we'll keep the conversation going directly via email to avoid complicating things between here and there.
