Integrating personal & company/shared vaults in 1Password
I work at an app company that is looking to use 1password for all of our devices (we use Mac and iOS currently, and are eventually looking to expand to Android). A couple of our employees are already using 1password for personal use.
My question is: if we decide to scale our use of 1password to all of our devices, will those employees currently using it be able to integrate with a company-wise 1password password manager/vault? Also, how does pricing work when we scale up?

Hi @kristenmurphy,
That's great, I'm really glad to hear you're considering 1Password for your employees & computers/devices! :)
My question is: if we decide to scale our use of 1password to all of our devices, will those employees currently using it be able to integrate with a company-wise 1password password manager/vault?
I'm assuming your question is about using multiple vaults in 1Password (for example, having a personal vault and a company/shared vault)? In that case, this shouldn't be a problem at all. 1Password for Mac and iOS support multiple vaults. The first vault you create when setting up 1Password is the Primary vault, and we recommend using that as a personal vault that won't be shared with anyone else. Then you can add secondary vaults and sync/share those with others. Your employees that are already using 1Password have already created Primary vaults, so they would simply need to add the company's shared/secondary vaults. You can find information about multiple vaults in our user guides here:
We also have information on how to share vaults in this knowledgebase article: Can I share an entire vault with my family or co-workers?
Also, how does pricing work when we scale up?
We have information on how our business licenses work here: How do I license 1Password for my business?
That article includes a link to our business store, where you can have the price calculated by entering the number of seats you need.
Now I should also explain that we can only offer Mac and Windows licenses in our business store (or our regular store), and not iOS or Android. This is because 1Password for iOS is available only in Apple’s App Store, and 1Password for Android is available only in the Google Play store. But licensing works very differently for the iOS and Android versions of 1Password anyway, as they are “freemium” applications:
1Password 5 for iOS is a free download, and offers free basic features. If you would like to unlock the Pro Features in 1Password 5 for iOS (which includes accessing and syncing multiple vaults), you can do so with an in-app purchase. We have more information about that here: Pro Features FAQ (iOS)
1Password for Android can be downloaded from the Google Play store for free, and will be fully functional / unrestricted for 30 days. After that, its Reader functionality will remain free, and if you want to unlock the premium features, you can do that with an in-app purchase (please note that multiple vaults are not yet supported on Android). We have more information here: Premium features FAQ (Android)
I hope that helps! If you have more specific questions about business licensing, please email us at support+licenses@agilebits.com and we'll be happy to help you further with that. Thanks! :)
