Is the USB Sync Tool still supported? I have the latest mac and iOS 1Password version. The link I found to to download the USB Sync Tool redirects me to a page saying "Permission Problem"

    @jj20,

    The USB sync tool was deprecated quite a while ago, and is no longer supported.

    Hi @jj20,

    MrC is correct: The USB Sync beta was retired in favor of Wi-Fi Sync with 1Password 4 for Mac, so it is no longer supported. We have a bit more information about that here: Status of the USB Sync tool

    I'm sorry for the inconvenience! If you're using 1Password 5 for Mac and 1Password 5 or 6 for iOS, you can find information about your sync options in this section of our user guide. We also have information about those sync options here: Sync options compared: Dropbox vs. iCloud vs. Wi-Fi

    I hope that helps, but we're here for you if you have more questions! :)

    Drew_AG, the first page to which you linked [more information…] presents a [vague] permission error as well. Perhaps this is the page they visited?

    Hi @Mystery_Man,

    My mistake! That link lead to an old forum announcement which was apparently archived and likely only works for AgileBits Team Members and Community Moderators now. I hadn't thought about that when I posted the link. Sorry about that! Here's what the announcement said:

    The short version is that there will be no further work on the USB Sync tool.

    The slightly longer version is that the USB Sync tool used a few undocumented APIs which resulted in some crashes that we couldn't resolve. This was one of the biggest reasons for adding Wi-Fi syncing back to 1Password 4 (for Mac and iOS). There are also a number of other ways to sync your 1Password data.

    The rest of the message simply had info about the other sync options, and I included the latest links to that info in my last reply.

    Sorry again for the problem with that link! :)
