A " Trial expired" notice comes up on my husbands computer even though both Macs are synced.
How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Bianca

Hi @bpratorius,
It depends on whether you/your husband purchased 1Password 5 from our AgileBits Store or from the Mac App Store.
If he has a license file from our store, he'll just need to apply it to the app. If he bought it from the Mac App Store, he'll need to switch to the Mac App Store version of the app. Only the version available for download on our website gives the "Trial Expired" notice.
Either way, this article should shed some light on the situation:
“Trial Expired” notice (Mac)
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have other questions; we're here for you. :)

Still not clear on this. I purchased and downloaded from your site for my Mac. When my husband got his new computer I downloaded 1password from your site for his computer and synced it via Dropbox to mine. What has to happen in this case?
Thanks for your help,

Hi @bpratorius,
Sorry for the trouble here. I searched our sales records for the email address associated with your forum handle, and the only purchase I found was a license for 1Password 3 for Mac in 2012. That license is still good for version 3, but version 4/5 is a paid upgrade. If you've ever bought a license for version 4 or 5, you must've used a different email address. Please let me know if that's the case (but don't post your email address here in the public forum).
If you have not yet bought v4 or v5, you can enter your v3 license key in our upgrade store to get a terrific discount on a v5 license to take the app out of trial mode.
Or if you'd prefer to continue using version 3, you can download that from the Legacy section at the bottom of our downloads page.
Does this clear up the confusion?

Sure, @bpratorius! Send an email to support+forum@agilebits.com with a link to this forum thread. You can write "Attn: Vee" in the subject line if you'd like it to get to me, but even if you don't, one of my very capable colleagues will help you out. :)
