Copy your data off from the locations described. Or just sync it somewhere. Probably easier to sync.

    Hi @MichaelM12345,

I noticed you opened two different threads for the same question, so I've merged them into the same discussion to avoid confusion.

The link that darkrabbit gave you shows you where to find all the files associated with 1Password for Mac, but all you really need are the backup files that 1Password automatically makes on your Mac. To find them, open 1Password and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences, select the Backup tab, and click the Show Files button. The Finder window that opens will show your backup files for 1Password.

You can copy those backup files (or at least the most recent one) to another location (like a USB drive, for example). After you format your Mac, you can reinstall the 1Password app, and when you open it for the first time, you'll be able to restore your data from a backup. You can find the exact steps to do that in this section of our User Guide.

I hope that helps, but if you need anything else, please let us know. We're here for you! :)
