Annoying master password request?
Hi
I'm finding that 1password is randomly requesting I enter my master password when I'm using Safari browser.
It opens a password box from the top right of my screen where the 1password icon is in the task bar.
Its not a big deal, but sometimes I just want to browse without needing my login info, so getting prompts every page I visit is off putting.
Like I say it seems to be completely random when it happens.
I use the mac app store version on a fully up-to-date iMac system with safari browser.
Many thanks :)

Greetings @telUK,
Can you tell us how you have your Auto-lock options set up in the Security tab of 1Password's preferences please. This is what defines almost all the lock situations. Now 1Password mini is the process that maintains the timers so if you don't have 1Password mini always running (see the General tab) or 1Password mini is crashing this would result in the encryption keys being removed from memory. As a result on relaunch your vault would be locked.
Let's start with your settings. If nothing there is obvious we'll ask you to send in a diagnostic report to see if 1Password mini is crashing and if so why.

Hi
here you go, :)
I think everything is default, also Its not locking when Ive logged in unless of course I close/logout. I'm getting prompts to enter master password when I don't want to while just browsing the internet.
many thanks

@telUK: Can you attach a screenshot of this 'master password' prompt? What you're describing actually sounds like a OS X Keychain dialog since you'd be entering it into 1Password mini otherwise (and that's rather distinctive looking), and that would explain the behaviour. Thanks in advance! :)

Hi
Here you go, I had to replicate it by clicking on the icon as it has not yet randomly opened anymore yet today, but it normally just opens when i click between websites.

@telUK: Well that's weird. Do you perhaps have multiple copies of 1Password having around on your system? Please do a Spotlight search and let me know what you find.
What are the exact OS X, 1Password, and extension version numbers you're using? It's possible that 1Password is damaged, but I also wonder if this is an input issue triggering the shortcut. What do you have them set to in 1Password Preferences > General?
