What if we bought directly from AgileBits?
I bought a five user family license from Agile Bits on 12-22-10, back before 1Password was offered on the Apple store. How doe I upgrade to v. 6? If I use the App Store I will have to pay full price (again). I run Yosemite 10.10.5 and iOS 9. David Owen
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.4.3
OS Version: 10.10.5
Sync Type: Dropbox (may change to iCloud)

Hi Owen ( @drdavedmin ),
Thanks for asking about this.
Our records show you already have a 1Password 5 for Mac license, purchased through the AgileBits Store, and version 5 is still the latest for Mac. I've resent that license information to you. There's no additional purchase to use it for yourself and up to five family members.
If you did want to switch to version 5 from the Mac App Store, that would be a new purchase. This article covers more of the details:
Switching to the version of 1Password from the Mac App Store
Your post mentions:
Sync Type: Dropbox (may change to iCloud)
One of the requirements for iCloud sync is that every device syncing 1Password data with it must be signed in with the same Apple ID. That alone can make iCloud sync with 1Password impossible for families with multiple devices that use different Apple IDs.
If Dropbox sync is already working for you then switching to iCloud sync, if that's even possible in your situation, may not be worth the risk of disruption.
1Password 6 for iOS is available for iOS 9 and is a free upgrade from Apple's App Store. Less choice to make there. :)
I hope this answers your questions and we're happy to answer any others you have. Thanks!

Um, I don't know how to tell for sure which version of 1Password iOS that I have, but I think it is 5. At least when I open it and tap on Help, it takes me to Help for v5. How can I know I am properly upgraded to v 6 iOS ?

There isn't a version 6 for Mac. There is a version 6 for iOS, but that requires iOS 9. Have you upgraded to iOS 9 yet?

Hi @drdavedmin,
I don't know how to tell for sure which version of 1Password iOS that I have, but I think it is 5.
Take a peek under Help in the Settings tab to check which version of 1Password you're running, for sure. :)

I have upgraded to ios 9, and I do have version 6.01 of 1Password. I would never have noticed that small light gray wording! Thanks!

 It's easy on the Mac isn't it as all applications (I haven't found the exception yet) display the version number in the About menu option. There isn't a standard it seems for iOS apps. At least we could help clear up the confusion.
