Default vault error message when setting up 1Password on second Mac
Hi team,
I'm trying to set up 1Password 5 on a second Mac computer, and I'd like to have it seamlessly sync with my first computer so everything is identical. I downloaded 1Password and installed it on the second machine. In the login screen, I then choose data sync file in my Dropbox folder. Then I try to login using my master password (the same one I use on my primary machine) and I get the following error message: "Vault cannot be created. Vault with name default already exists. Please choose a different vault name." So, I can't open 1Password on the second machine. I only have a "primary" vault, and I don't want to create another one. How can I proceed? Please note--when I click on the Safari 1Password extension button on my second machine, I see that my entire login data is pulling in from my Dropbox sync, so it is accessing the same data from my primary machine. I just cannot log in to 1Password app on my second machine due to the error described above.
Thank you-
Brian

Hello @btfitz,
Given your data is in Dropbox I think it might be worth trying starting over using this guide, How do I start over with an empty vault? If the issue reoccurs it might be there is old data hiding elsewhere that is interfering in some odd way and we'll help locate and remove it.
