Chrome Extension Login Extremely Slow with New Updates

Since I updated to the latest Chrome 45.0.2454.99 (64-bit), 1Pwd extension login is extremely slow - almost unusable. Everytime I go to login to a site and 1Pwd needs authentication, there are long pauses before I can type my password and then individual keystrokes are delayed. It takes 5-10 seconds now to type my password. Are other users seeing this?

I'm on Chrome 45.0.2454.101 (64-bit) and the browser extension is working fine for me. Maybe try updating Chrome again?

    Hi @JeffReifman,

I'm using the same version of Chrome as weavermedia and it works for me too. If updating Chrome doesn't help, please try rebooting your Mac. After it restarts, do you still have the same problem?

Hi - the chrome upgrade did not fix it. The restart did. Thanks guys!

  • Hi @JeffReifman,

It's so easy to forget the effect of the occasional reboot  Obviously a really well engineered operating system shouldn't need to but the software is so complex these days that such a thing is likely to be harder and harder to achieve. Glad to hear things seem to be running more smoothly now

Littlebobbytables - I literally haven't rebooted my Mac since I switched from Windows in 2004 and wrote this article about Ctrl-Alt-Del for Outlook to work. The was before the NSA was reading my forum comments and I had not need for 1Password on my flip phone.

  • That is freaking impressive and pretty envious @JeffReifman. Actually the more I think about it the more I am envious. I have an ageing Mac Mini that is my server and ever since I did a DIY HD replacement I have to reboot it every so often due to overheating. You probably take better care of your hardware than I do
