Installed 1PW v5, but it installs extension v4.
I can't find the Safari extension v5. I installed 1password v5, but it installs v4.4.3 of the extension and I it doesn't find or add the user/password to any websites. Initially I got an error message that it couldn't find 1password, but I've uninstalled and re installed and that message is gone now.
What to do???
Thanks in advance.

Hi @gaprior,
Sorry for the confusion here! Not to worry, 4.4.3 is the latest available (stable) version of the 1Password browser extension. The extension version need not match the app version, as they are developed separately (though they work together).
Are you finding that the extension works properly to fill your login credentials into websites as expected, or are you having any other problems with the extension?

I have done some more testing and found that some websites are filled properly, but others not. I'm not sure what differentiates between the two though.

Hi @gaprior,
For those that don't fill properly, try saving the login manually and see if that does the trick.

that means to over write the existing login with a new manual one?

Greetings @gaprior,
I would recommend saving a new Login and once you've confirmed that the new one works and contains all the information that the old one did then you can safely remove the non-functional one. By creating a new Login item it ensures the new Login item is storing an up to date understanding of the web page it needs to fill. 1Password will be default ask to save a new item rather than update anyway so the default is to create a new one.
You might find particular sites are troublesome anyway and we have a forum section, 1Password > Saving and Filling in Browsers where we can troubleshoot individual sites so that you have a working Login item for each. I find the best way is to work with one site at a time just so the conversation remains focussed. Hopefully that all seems reasonably sensible
