I want to purchase and install 1Password4. It's available in Legacy as a download, but not for sale?
I am running Mavericks and must wait for various reasons to upgrade to Yosemite. I want to buy 1Password4, install in my current system, get it going, and when I am ready, then I will upgrade to Yosemite. I have downloaded the Legacy 1Password4 and it looks good. But when I go to "buy" all that is available is 1Password versions for Yosemite. How do I get 1Password4 purchased?

I want to purchase 1Password4 and run it on Mavericks until I am able to update to Yosemite. I have downloaded 4 from the Agile Bits website and have 26 days left. When I go to purchase I can't purchase 4, all roads lead to the Rome of purchasing 5. How can I purchase 4? In my quest to get something working I downloaded 6.0 from the App Store on to my iPhone, which is running the latest software, iOS9.0.1 It is unclear to me how to get either of these working long-term. The first choice would be 4 running on the laptop because I want to import a csv file from my previous program, Safe Place. Thanks for your help.

Simply purchase the license for 1Password 5, its is backwards compatible with 1Password 4. Feel free to ask any further questions you may have.

So I buy 5, and because I am on Mavericks, it installs 4?

Ie, just buy the thing as 5 and it knows what to do even though the system requirements are not present on my laptop?
thanks for your help!0 -
Download the legacy 1Password 4 version, and install it. Then buy the current license offered in the store. https://agilebits.com/store Apply the license and your all done.
The license info you receive will work on 1Password 4 and 1Password 5. Later on when (if) you want to update to Yosemite you will already have a valid license for 1Password 5.

Awesome, very clear explanation, thank you! Off I go to do it.

You buy a licence for 1P5, which also licences 1P4. In other words, the same licence licenses both versions—which effectively means that if you ever want to upgrade to 1P5 that upgrade is free.
Edit: as I noticed you also posted about the same problem in this thread, and it's already been answered there, I'm closing this thread to avoid confusion. Please try not to post about the same problem in more than one thread as it makes support a bit of a challenge and also makes it less easy for you to find the answer to your question.

Thank you all for your help. I do apologize for the double posting, that was not intentional, that was my messing up finding my way in here and getting oriented about posting, duh. I really appreciate how you all answered, I am in the process of converting my Safe Place data from the Excel export in .xls into four .csv files to import into 1Password4 on my laptop.
