I am running 1 Password 4.4.3. on OS X 10.9.5 . If I want to install safari extension, I was forced to deinstall an old extension v3.9.x Seems reasonably. But then, i am forced to: please install the app! Here Download! Effect: Downloading Version 5 of 1Password, which is not running on my mac.
I do not want to update to OS X Yosemite 10.10. There are reasons. Too many thing are no more running for me as a database developer.
Where can I download an Safari Extension for 1Password version 4 ?
Or what other things are to do?

  • Hi @Kottke,

Our 1Password 4 Browser Extension works for both 1Password 4 and 1Password 5. If you're seeing a message about cannot find 1Password 4 it would suggest that either 1Password mini isn't loaded or that there is a communication breakdown between the extension and 1Password mini. Now there are a number of applications, basically anything that integrates into the network stack that might cause interference; third party firewalls, anti-virus, parental control software, VPNs or proxies. I doubt that's an exhaustive list either.

Now the older 1Password 3 Browser Extension was only for 1Password 3 for Mac so if you're not running that any more then you do want to remove that extension.

I assume 1Password 4 is working correctly, do you have any software that might be interfering with a local WebSocket connection?
