Start over with a new 1Password vault
I want to delete 1password and all the data from my Mac. I had downloaded 1password years ago and never bothered to set it up fully. I've recently setup 1password on my iphone and would like to use that master password and vault to manage everything forward, but I can;t figure out how to get rid of the data on my mac. I can't log in to this account with my new master password and just deleting the app and emptying the trash doesn't seem to have helped.

Mac running latest 10.10.5 op sys. Downloaded trial and had password sentence accepted but went to set up program and couldn't get the vault open so I could begin? Delete the program from 'apps' file is not helping as when I redownload the same locked vault comes up and won't take the passphrase. How to proceed??

This article should help you, assuming that your are talking about a current version of 1Password for Mac. How do I start over with an empty vault?
If you have an older version, let us know what that version is.

@BG50: I would also add that it's at least worth a try to see if you can get in by trying these tips:
https://support.1password.com/master-password-not-accepted/
If that doesn't help though, just follow the instructions in the link hawkmoth provided to simply start over. Please let me know how it turns out. I look forward to hearing back from you!
