Update Mac OS but have been unable to get 1 password to run, why? Is there a fix?

    This answer will likely be of little comfort, but I can report that 1Password 5 is working well for me under El Capitan.

    Can you tell us more? Are you getting an error message when you try to run it? If so, what does it say? If there isn't an error message, what exactly happens when you try to run it? Have you restarted your Mac since you upgraded the OS? Also, what version of 1Password are you using?
