No 5.3 version update, and another question about syncing

I have 5.3 that I purchased from the apple store. I see on your site there has been 2 updates (5.3.1 and 5.3.2) I read on a discussion that the apple store should automatically download new versions because you don't have a manual button anymore. The apple store still shows only 5.3, no updates. How do we update?

I actually have another question. Because of the new apple operating system coming out, I know some software like Quicken are not compatible. I set up my older mac mini and thunderbolted to my main computer to run the quicken on Yosemite so I can upgrade to Caption5. Now I need to sync both 1passwords on both computers by wifi. I never have had a problem when syncing on the 5.3 version with my iphone and ipad. But I'm not sure how to do it with the 2 computers. I don't like icloud. Will I have any problem?

    1. The 5.3.* versions were updates only for the AgileBits store version of 1P5. You are on the current the Mac App Store version. There is no material difference in functionality between the two versions (save for iCloud sync in the Mac App Store version, of course). The AgileBits store version updates were, as I recall, only to deal with licensing aspects not applicable to the Mac App Store version.
    2. Wifi sync works only to sync data from one Mac to any iOS device. It's not designed to work between Macs. If you use the same iCloud password on both you could use iCloud or, otherwise, use either Dropbox or folder sync.

    Stephen's answers are correct. Sorry for any confusion about that!

    Just to give you a little more information, these are the only changes in the last two updates for the AgileBits Store version of 1Password 5:

    • 5.3.1: Added the ability to purchase 1Password licenses from within 1Password itself.

    • 5.3.2: Improved reliability of the in-app store WebView.

    Those changes don't apply to the Mac App Store version because purchasing/licensing is managed by the Mac App Store. Therefore we didn't need to release 5.3.1 or 5.3.2 for the Mac App Store version.

    As for your sync options, as Stephen said, Wi-Fi sync was designed to work between one Mac and one or more iOS devices. To sync between multiple Macs, you'll need to use one of the other sync options.
