Am I forced to pay $50 for App Store version rather than website Mac update for $25?
I purchased 1Password 3 in Sept 2014 and have the license available. But when the "trial" of version 5 expired, I am unable to purchase the Mac upgrade for $25. The "Select" button is greyed out and I am informed that in order to sync through iCloud I must purchase the App Store version for $50! I don't want to sync through iCloud, I currently sync through Dropbox and would happily continue to do so. How can I receive the $25 upgrade for my Mac?
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.4.3
OS Version: 10.10.5
Sync Type: Dropbox

You can get the copy you need from the AgileBits web store. Go here and click on the button for Upgrade License. You'll enter your version 3 license key and see your upgrade price.
I am puzzled though. You say you bought version 3 in 2014. Version 3 was replaced by version 4 in late 2013. Did you buy version 3 because of some OS limitation at the time?

Hi @michaelprete,
It may very well be grayed out because you already have it! I don't believe it was possible to buy just a v3 license in 2014, so you may have bought the v4 license (which also came with a key for v3). And v4 licenses were automatically upgraded to v5 licenses when 5 was released. So you might have a v5 license and not even realize it. :)
Enter your license email address here to have your current license info sent to you. Note that v5 uses a license file for registration, rather than a license key. The license email will include a link you can click to automatically download and apply your license file to 1Password 5.
I hope this helps! Let us know how it shakes out.
