How do I get my current 1Password to run on my new Apple laptop?

I just purchased a new MacBook. 1PW on my MacBook is showing up with old, obsolete data.

Please provide more information so that we can help you. Please tell us:

    • What version of 1P for Mac you are using
    • Whether you previously sync'd your 1P data to any other device and if so to what device
    • What sync method you used, or use now, to sync your 1P data (Dropbox, iCloud or wifi)

(Sorry some of the questions are rather general but I'm a little unclear about some of the background to the problem. Of course, you could use folder sync and a thumb drive to transfer the old vault to your new machine.)

    Hi @Ludmil,

As Stephen said, we'll need to know a bit more information about your setup, as well as more about the problem and what you did to set things up on your new Mac. For example, did you restore your new Mac from a backup of your old Mac, or did you basically start from a clean slate? What happened the first time you opened 1Password on the new Mac (i.e. which options, if any, did you choose)? Do you still have the old Mac (or other device?) where you had previously been using 1Password? If so, does it still have your current data? What version of 1Password is on the old Mac?

The more details you can give us, the better. Once we know more, we should have a much better idea of how to help you get things straightened out. Thanks!
