No longer asking me to save new login/password when creating new registration

I've noticed for my last few new website registrations that 1Password will no longer ask me to save the new login information when I create the new account.

I'll enter my email and username as usual. And then I'll grab a password from the 'Password Generator' on the menu bar. The new password will auto-fill in the website password fields as usual. But when I press the Create (or whatever the website button is called), I no longer get the option to save the login information back to 1Password.

I did check the preferences and 'Automatically ask to save new Logins' is checked. Was wondering if there's anything else I should be looking at to fix this problem. Using the latest Safari on El Capitan, although this was happening on Yosemite as well.

Thanks,

Jim

    Hi @Penage,

It sounds like you're running into a known issue with the latest version of the 1Password extension. I apologize for the inconvenience! Our developers are already working on a fix for this bug. I don't know exactly when an update with a fix will be available, but for now, there are a couple simple workarounds:

One option is that, instead of clicking the Fill button in the password generator, you can copy & paste the generated password into the password fields. When you submit that form, 1Password should prompt you to save a new Login item.

Alternately, if you click the Fill button in the Password Generator but aren't asked to save a new Login, you can still retrieve that new password - just open the main 1Password app, select the Passwords category in the sidebar, and find the new item for the password you generated (you can sort the list by Date Created if it helps). From there, it's best to sign out of the website and sign back in with that password, and this time you should be asked to save a new Login item.

I'm sorry again for the trouble! Hopefully the above workarounds will help while waiting for a fix. We're here for you if you have more questions or need anything else! :)

Thanks for the update. It's appreciated. No problem using the copy and paste method until the fix is completed. I had been creating the new entries manually, but this is better.
