Can't open Diagnostics report zip file
I am on a mac running OS X Yosemite and I need to submit a diagnostics report to 1 Password. When I download the diagnostics report zip file from 1 Password and try to open it I get this message. Can someone tell me how to open the zip file?
1Password Version: 3.6
Extension Version: 3.8.22
OS Version: OS X 10.10.5
Sync Type: Dropbox

This is the message I get when I try to open the Zip file "Adobe Reader could not open '1Password Troubleshooting.zip' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

It sounds as though, for some reason on your Mac, you have Adobe reader set as the appropriate app to open .zip files (which it's clearly not going to do). If you right click on the .zip file in Finder you should have the option to open it with another app that will read it. (I don't have any .zip files to test at present but OS X should open them automatically.)

Hi @hollyhocks,
Just to add, if you want to unzip the file to see what is contained in a diagnostics report that's fine and you're well entitled to. If this is just about sending us the diagnostic report then can you attach the ZIP file please as we will need the entire contents.
Have we requested you send in a diagnostic report?

Thank you Stephen. I do remember having to do this before, I just needed someone to jar my memory.

littlebobbytables, thank you for your help. I have just upgraded from 1Password v. 3 to 5 and I was having trouble with the browser extensions syncing properly. I was going to send a diagnostics report as instructed per your website. Fortunately for me with a simple restart of my mac everything started syncing as it should. Thanks again for your help.

Excellent! Thanks for the update. I'm glad that a restart did the trick for you, but we're here if you need anything else! :)
