Can I get additional help solving the error "failed to connect to 1Password mini"?
I recently updated to OS X El Capitan. Since then, I have not been able to open 1Password, saying "failure to connect to 1Password mini". I followed the instructions to fix this issue, but it is still happening. I need additional assistance getting this working again.
One of the pages suggests that it may cause problems if Time Machine runs while 1Password is running. I did run Time Machine before upgrading to El Capitan. However, my settings are supposed to prevent the /Applications directory from being backed up.

Hey @icgood! I'm sorry you are having trouble opening 1Password after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.11. Could you try the following to see if things get running again?
- Open the Terminal app (found in your Mac’s Applications folder under Utilities, or with a Spotlight search).
- Copy this single line command, then paste it into the Terminal window you just opened:
xattr -d -r -s com.apple.quarantine '/Applications/1Password 5.app'
- Tap the return key to run that command.
- Open 1Password 5 app.
Let me know if that helps! :)
