Heeeeeelp Please,
I'm unable to make 1Password work on my new MacBook lap top and sync it with 1Password on my iMac, I have tried everything but I can't get them synced. My MacBook shows 111 items total and my iMac shows 117 items total.... I'm so frustrated and I really need help with this. I have received numerous emails with explanations, but it doesn't work for me? Please can someone call me or tell me what I am doing wrong or what is wrong? Thank you so much, Best, Taruno Steffensen

In order that we can help you Please tell us:
- What version of 1P for Mac you are using
- What sync method you use to sync your 1P data (Dropbox or iCloud...note that wifi sync is not designed to sync between Macs)
In the meantime one or other of the following knowledge base articles may help:
Dropbox sync is not working
Troubleshooting iCloud sync issues

Hi Stephen, thank you for telling me that wi-fi doesn't sync between Mac's computers, that answered the problem right there. However, on my iMac computer I can't seem to get the option of iCloud syns up in the sync tab under preferences? How come? What do I have to do to get that as an option, because my next step will now be to sync all my devices via iCloud. I dont want to use DropBox.

PS! I am using P1 version 5 on my iMac and my MacBook? I think I did something wrong when I later downloaded P1 version 5 on my new MacBook though, I have the same Login Password on both, but there was something in that process I'm not sure any longer was or is.... ?

You may be using 1P5 from the AgileBits store rather than 1P5 from the Mac App Store. That's why it's helpful to know the exact version of 1P that you're running. Because of Apple's restrictions only the Mac App Store version supports iCloud sync for your 1P data. Please take a look at this knowledge base article:
iCloud FAQs (starting with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite)
I'm unsure why you don't want to use Dropbox and of course you may have a perfectly valid reason for that. However, in a couple of ways it's more versatile than iCloud, in that:
- it works cross-platform; and
- it can sync individual secondary 1P vaults if you use them.

@taruno: And keep in mind that your 1Password data is end-to-end encrypted, so 1Password simply doesn't depend on the sync service to protect your data. 1Password is secure by design, not by chance.
Ultimately it's up to you, but when the security is the same, I tend to pick the tool that gets the job done. :)
