1Password 3 extension [does not work in Firefox 39 and later]
I am currently running 1Password 3.5.9 on El Capitan with no issues on Safari 9.0. The browser extension does not appear at all in Firefox 41.0.1. Is there a problem with the extension and how can it be resolved?

@alxftpls: Sorry for the confusion! The newest versions of Firefox contain substantial changes that break compatibility with the old 1Password, which has not been in active development for just over three years.
You can upgrade to 1Password 4 or 5 (requires Mountain Lion or Yosemite respectively), which use our current extension, and are fully compatible with current browsers. However, this is a paid upgrade if you do not already have a valid 1Password 4/5 license.
Alternatively, you can continue using 1Password 3 with a different browser which is still compatible:
