Failure to load 1Password 5 upgrade

I purchased the 5 upgrade yesterday and it doesn't open. I get a notice that it does not connect with Password Mini, whatever that is. My Password 3 version is in the trash. I tried your various ways to fix the problem but they don't work. I recently upgraded to El Capitan OSX version 10.11

  • Hey @rwilson! Could you try emptying your trash and then opening 1Password 5 again? This error is usually caused by having multiple versions of the app installed. Look around your computer with Spotlight to make sure the one you just downloaded is the only copy you have installed. If you have others, please delete them.

Let us know how things go!

I did as you said and it loaded. But it took a lot of effort to finally get it working. First it was a temporary 1Password, then I had to futz with the license and apply it. It was driving me bananas and then t finally worked. Many thanks.

  • @rwilson Glad to hear you got everything up and running. :) Sorry for the confusion on multiple versions. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know!
