How do I change the login used by the Cmd \ shortcut when I have multiple logins?

There are some websites that I have multiple logins for. However, it seems that the Cmd+\ shortcut will only use the most recent one, which is not the one I want it to default to. Is there a way I can change what login it uses?

    Hi @nickman55,

When you use Cmd+\ shortcut, do you see the other logins listed? If so, then you can use your arrow keys to move down the list and select which one you want to use.

If you want it to default to your most frequent login, then you can either make it a Favorite or name it such that it come up first in an alphabetical list (which is the default sorting order for multiple logins).

I do not see any other logins. It just automatically fills in the most recent login I created for the site. I can see a list of logins if I click on the 1Password icon on the menu bar. As per your suggestions, I have tried a bunch of things, and here are the results:

    • I already had the login I would like it to use set as a favorite, and it ignores that
    • I changed the login names so that the one I want it to use is listed first alphabetically, and when looking at a general list of logins, it is ordered first, however when I am at the website, the order is changed

    Hi @nickman55,

I think this might be related to the URL in each of those Login items. If you open the main 1Password app and find your Logins for that site, do they all have the same URL in the website field? If 1Password automatically fills one of those Logins on the website instead of giving you a choice, it is only seeing that you have one Login item that matches the URL of that site.

If the URLs are different in those Login items (specifically, the domain/subdomain), that probably explains the problem. Please let us know what you find, thanks!
