With multiple vaults, can you deny sharing to the primary vault?

I have 2 vaults, a primary and a separate one with items for my daughter. How do I allow her access only to "her" vault and not allow access to the primary? Do I actually need 3 vaults, 1 primary that has very few (to no) common items, a main vault that has all my stuff and a third for the "daughter specific" stuff?

Are you both using the same installation of one password on the same machine? Iff you are both using the same machine, do you have separate user accounts on it, one for you and another for the daughter? Or do you each have your own Mac and are sharing data over Dropbox?

I have both vaults on my mac but we are not using that installation. I want to share the one vault with 1password installed on her iPhone.

You can use Dropbox then to do that. Have you seen the Knowkedge Base article about sharing a vault? You can read that here. Then let us know if it provokes questions. Someone will be pleased to help.

iCloud does not permit sharing vaults, nor does it allow for syncing any vaults other than the Primary one. I'm not sure myself about what you could accomplish via WiFi syncing.

    Hi @plouffejj,

Hopefully the link supplied by hawkmoth will answer all of your questions but if not please do let us know. By using two separate Dropbox accounts you can share a folder that only contains your daughter's vault and so she won't be able to see the other vaults at all. Of course the files being visible and being able to access them are very different. As long as when each vault was created you assigned unique passwords having access to the Agile Keychain for your primary vault doesn't help without knowledge of the Master Password for it.

Let us know if you run into any troubles
