Dropbox portable and 1Password

Hi,

Two questions:

1) I'm trying to minimize the amount of software installed on my PC, Is it possible to use/store 1password information on a portable Dropbox app? like this one: http://nionsoftware.com/dbpahk/

2) I have Chrome portable as well but I assume 1password won't work with Chrome portable? - Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Hi @raahh,

We don't recommend using 1Password with any unofficial or unauthorized versions of any products. It may work if you try it but we cannot support your configuration and it can break at any time, not to mention you can put your sensitive data at risk.

1Password will load your 1Password data from any local directory you wish, so you can place it in the Dropbox folder that the portable Dropbox app would sync. Keep in mind that Dropbox can disallow this program from working at any time.

By default, it will be blocked by 1Password as it will fail our code signature check. This is a security check in 1Password to make sure no one has tampered with the known popular browsers but you can disable it if you want to use Chrome portable with the understanding that this can put your data at risk. In that case, I'm going to play it safe and install dropbox & chrome locally.
