do my original syncs come from my mac to iPad and mini
there is nothing on phone or iPad. i have extension 1password 5. does that mean when i say to sing through cloud it will send an icon and all the information from my mac to cloud. go easy on me I am old! also i had to have 1password to have 1password 5 correct?

Sorry for some basic points in response but I think we need to understand a little more of the background. :)
The 1P version you're using is one which you bought from the AgileBits store (as opposed to from the Mac App Store). The AgileBits store doesn't support sync of 1P data by iCloud (following restrictions introduced by Apple on the launch of OS X Yosemite). Using the version you have you can sync your 1P data by using either Dropbox or wifi.
I'm unclear whether you have installed 1P for iOS on your iOS devices. 1P for Mac and 1P for iOS are completely separate products. In other words, if you need 1P for iOS you have to download and install it on your iOS devices. You download it from the App Store that is accessed on your iOS devices. You need 1P for iOS if you want to sync your 1P data with your iOS devices.
1P for iOS is a free download—with an in-app purchase to enable pro features. If you make that in-app purchase on one iOS device you can enable the pro features without charge on any other iOS device that uses the same Apple ID.

ok, STEP 1 - I understand that 1P5 will let me sinc using iCloud is that correct? I have both 1P 5 and 1P on my mac.
STEP 2 - If 1P5 will let me sinc using I cloud to other IOS devices what do I down load on them to make it possible, and should I delete 1P on my mac which will leave just 1P5?
MY GOAL IS TO BE ABLE TO SINC ALL DEVICES THROUGH I CLOUD, IS THAT POSSIBLE?
SteP 3 - once I have follow the instructions from questions above then you can help me actually set sinc up.

1Password 5 can sync to iCloud but only the version that is purchased from Apple's Mac App Store. The reason is only apps and applications obtained from one of Apple's stores have permission to use the Apple frameworks needed for iCloud Sync.
You said you were running version 5.3.2. Now that version is only available from our AgileBits Download page which is what we call the AgileBits Store version. This version cannot sync to iCloud but if you're willing, you can use Dropbox instead which is very similar to iCloud. This page, iCloud FAQs (starting with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite) will talk about this in more depth.
You will want to download 1Password 5 for iOS. You will then want to follow the instructions in these guides.
- Sync with Dropbox (Mac)
- Sync with Dropbox (iOS)
If 1Password 5 for Mac is working then you can remove 1Password 3 for Mac.
