Message: There is no application set to open the URL onepassword4-extension://activate/Safari
I have recently updated to Safari 9 and since the update I am receiving an modal message stating: "There is no application set to open the URL onepassword4-extension://activate/Safari. Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer”
I do not use 1Password now, although I did some years ago. During the setup of Safari I did select something to do with 1Password in error and now I can't stop the modal dialogue message re-appearing on a regular basis.
I have searched for any 1Password extensions in Safari and can find none.
I don’t want to use 1password, I just want to stop the messages appearing.
Please can you help?

Greetings @Bigjulesie,
If you are no longer a user of 1Password then under normal circumstances removing the 1Password Safari Extension should be all that is required. All Safari extensions can be view from the Extensions tab in Safari's preferences and selecting it should offer a button to uninstall. Are you saying that according to Safari there is no such extension installed?
