I need help with what licenses to purchase. Can I speak with a human being?
Hi. I am a Memengo user and I am in the market for a new password manager app. You'll probably hear from others like me since Memengo is shutting down.
I have the following devices and would like to know what licenses I would need:
2 Mac desktops (Chrome and Safari browsers)
2 Windows desktops (Chrome browser)
2 MacBookAirs
3 iPhones
3 iPads
My family consists of two adults and two childen all living at the same address.
Is the free trial either for Mac or Windows, but not both?
What licenses would I need to purchase to work with all of my devices?
Lastly, do I NEED to use the password generation feature on 1Password for all of my passwords? Or can I continue to use some of the manually generated passwords that I currently have?
Thanks so much for your help!
Joe

Hi @JJAdipietro,
I'm a human being! And I have some answers for you. :)
Is the free trial either for Mac or Windows, but not both?
Both 1Password for Mac and 1Password for Windows are available for free download with a 30-day trial period. You can install them on all your computers for free. After the 30-day trial period, the app will go into Restricted Mode until you apply a valid license. Restricted Mode will still allow you access to your saved items, but won't allow you to edit existing items or add new items.
What licenses would I need to purchase to work with all of my devices?
For personal use of 1Password by your family on the devices you described, just one Mac+Windows bundle license will cover you. Our software is licensed per person and per platform, and a single license can be shared by up to 6 family members in a household, on as many computers as they have.
On the iOS devices, you can download the app for free and use it as long as you'd like with core features. Pro Features are an optional in-app purchase which you'd only need to make once per Apple ID.
Lastly, do I NEED to use the password generation feature on 1Password for all of my passwords? Or can I continue to use some of the manually generated passwords that I currently have?
You're welcome to use whatever passwords you want, and 1Password will store them securely. You don't need to change your passwords at all, but one of the best things about 1Password is that, by securely storing and filling in your passwords for you, it frees you from needing to use memorable passwords for all your accounts. So we encourage you to make use of the Password Generator to create strong, unique passwords for all your accounts. Just make sure you choose a strong and memorable Master Password.
I hope this helps! And we're here for you if you have any other questions. :) Thanks for considering 1Password!
