there is a login account that shows up in my vault that I did not put there. have I been hacked?
I don't recognize the title of the account, the username is nothing I would ever use and neither is the password.

I suspect it's extremely unlikely your 1P has been hacked (provided you have a strong master password of course). Of course, it's impossible to know without more details, so please tell us:
- What version of 1P for Mac you are using
- In what 1P category the mystery item has appeared
- Whether the creation date of the mystery item helps you to track its origin
- Anything else about the mystery item you feel would help us to help you

It is quite hard to make any confident statements based on the information at hand. Would you agree though that if a bad person had somehow gained access to your vault, it would make more sense from their point of view to steal your data rather than add something? Truly naughty people on the internet typically prefer it that you don't realise they were there at all.
- Is it possible you are sharing a secondary vault with somebody?
- Is it definitely a Login item? I ask as if you generate a password using our Password Generator we do store it in your vault as a safety measure and it's stored as a Password item.
- Could somebody have had access to your computer while 1Password was unlocked e.g. they asked to quickly log into an account and didn't realise they were storing something in 1Password?
- Could you have been testing something, does the Login item actually work?
- Have you ever used our demo vault? If you're seeing the name Wendy Appleseed at all that sounds like our demo vault.
I do believe that whatever has happened it is unlikely to be nefarious in nature but I can't guarantee it just because so much is guesswork at this stage. Do any of the questions I've asked offer up any plausible explanation as to where this item came from?
