1Password 5 suddenly says trial expired (need to add license file)
I paid for and was using 1password 3. it stopped working with Firefox so I switched to Chrome. Worked again, but now I am being told trial is over and I need to pay $49 for 1password 5. What is happening here? I didnt really want to upgrade, I just wanted what I was using to keep working. Can I speak to a person about this?

Please take a look at this knowledge base article:
“Trial Expired” notice (Mac)
I suspect you'll find there the answer to your first question.

Hi @ljp49,
Sorry for any confusion about the license! The link from Stephen's message should help to explain the Trial Expired message. In short, you need to add a license file to 1Password 5 to activate it. I was able to find your license for 1Password 5 for Mac when I searched our system for the email address associated with your forum account. I've resent that license info to you, so you should receive another email about that. You can click a link in that email to apply your license.
You should be all set, but if you have more questions, just let us know - we're always happy to help! :)

Thanks for your reply. I was not able to initially accomplish what you suggested and was getting error messages for both the automatic and manual application of the key. Eventually - I am not sure how - I got to something that instructed me how to delete old conflicting copies of 1 password which may have been causing the problem. Seems to now work. Thank you.
