I cannot find the place to add my license in 1Password 5.3.2

I'm trying to enter my license in 1Password 5.3.2. I've retrieved my license #. When I attempt to enter it, the following path [top menu: 1Password / License... launches "Trial Expired" dialogue box. The "add license" button launches a download (yet the only option is "cancel" the "open" button is greyed out. Returning to the "Trial Expired" dialogue box, there's another option that reads "How to Add A License," which brings me to an FAQ page. This page is not helpful in that I followed the instructions to retrieve my license via email, yet the instructions contain an illustration in which the emailed license contains a link anchored on the copy "click here to apply your 1Password license". My email contained only the license, no link. Please help.

I'm almost certain you've retrieved a 1P3 licence key rather than the requisite 1P5 licence file. You can read more about the "trial expired" message in this knowledge base article:

    “Trial Expired” notice (Mac)

If you did in fact purchase the upgrade to 1P4/1P5 don't worry: someone from AgileBits will be along to assist soon. (I don't work for AgileBits but am merely a volunteer here.)
