my computer was set to factory settings & when El capitain was installed again I added 1pw. The information that it retrieved is old info and because I had my phone with me at the Apple store the phone was synced to the computer. My Ipad however, has all the current information. How do I 5.3.2get the ipad info onto the computer & phone?

    Hi @Doroth51,

So the first thing we need to do is determine where 1Password for Mac found old data. Is it the old data was on the iPhone and it pulled a copy from there or did it find old data from elsewhere and then proceeded to copy this old data to the iPhone, overwriting the good data on your iPhone?

Can you first launch 1Password for Mac please and then open 1Password's preferences. In there can you switch to the Sync tab. If 1Password for Mac found old data in the form of an Agile Keychain it should still be syncing to it now and knowing where it found it will help us make sure it doesn't happen again.

Just to reassure, once we've tamed 1Password for Mac we can definitely help you have all copies using a copy of the vault on your iPad. As a safety net though I would recommend the following.

    1. Disable Wi-Fi on your iPad so it can't talk to the Mac.
    2. Follow the steps in Creating and restoring 1Password backups in iTunes (iOS): Creating manual backups to first create a backup of your iPad vault and then copy it to your Mac. As you have disabled Wi-Fi this would assume using a USB to Lightning cable.
    3. Re-enable Wi-Fi on your iPad.

The disabling of Wi-Fi is just to remove any possibility of Wi-Fi Sync occurring as you say that is how you sync and I don't want any risk your iPad vault.

So hopefully we can learn if/where 1Password for Mac found old data and then get this resolved for you

    Hello @Doroth51,

That's great news. I don't know how long it took to resolve or what the issue was but we're obviously happy that things seem to be working properly again. It seems you've had quite the time with your first foray into El Capitan, hopefully things improve
