Mac and iOS devices not syncing via DropBox

I have reviewed the forums and still cannot get syncing to work between my devices:

Mac, El Capitan: 1Password 5 version 5.3.2
iPhone 6, iOS 9: 1Password 6, not sure where to find the version number
iPad Mini Retina, iOS 9: 1Password 6

Changes made on my Mac in 1Password are not getting to my iOS devices. Have checked the DropBox directory and that seems to be OK. Sync shows as occurring when requested, but the changes do not transfer. I have tried merging the vault and get a warning about the vaults not being the same, although that appears to just be an issue with their being a password hint on my Mac's vault and not the iOS vault. I have tried merging and then syncing, but the changes still aren't shared.

Thanks for your help,

George

    Hi @george_mayfield,

The article from the link in Stephen's reply should help to troubleshoot most common issues with Dropbox sync. Does that help to solve the problem? If not, please let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping you with that. Thanks! :)

Thanks for those links Stephen and Drew. I was able to narrow down the problem to my Mac and its 1password.agilekeychain file not syncing. I have tried renaming the old file and creating a new one through 1Password on my Mac. I change the sync option in my Mac's 1Password preferences to "None" and then back to "Dropbox", but I get the error message "1Password Sync - Problem detected - Update preferences". When I click on "Fix" I get a message that says the file is in use and being synced, but I don't think it is. When I choose "Ignore" it puts the Dropbox synch choice back to "None".

I have a screenshot that I can send, but would prefer not to post it.

    Thanks,

    George

Actually the above info is reversed - when I select the "fix" option, the sync option reverts to "None"; when I select the "ignore" option it says the file is in use.

    Hi @george_mayfield,

How do you feel about creating a diagnostic report and sending the screenshot in? I think between the two we can help you resolve this. The diagnostic report might not be needed but it can't do any harm and should mean we have all the information at hand to guide you.

I would like you to create a Diagnostic Report please. This guide will assist.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums

The email address you will want to use is support+forum@agilebits.com.

When sending the diagnostic report to the address above it would help immensely if you could include a link to this thread and your forum handle so we can connect the two.

Once you've sent the report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. With access to the report we should be able to better assist you
