    The first thing to make clear is that 1P for Mac and 1P for iOS are completely separate products. In other words, if you need 1P for iOS (which you need in order to sync your 1P data) you have to download it and install it on your iPad.

    1Password is licensed per person and per platform, rather than per device. You can read more about AgileBits' approach to software licensing in this knowledge base article.

    1P for iOS is a free download from the App Store accessed from your iOS device—with an in-app purchase to enable pro features. If you make that in-app purchase on one iOS device you can enable the pro features without charge on any other iOS device that uses the same Apple ID.
