icloud option disappears when I go to where is your data
Trying to sync to a new mac. Start up 1Password (downloaded from Apple App Store) and select "I've used 1Password before" and see "iCloud" initially on the screen as an option for "Where is your data", but then it disappears and list begins with "Dropbox". 1Password reports that it is syncing on primary mac.

Hi @tmay,
I'm sorry the iCloud option is disappearing when trying to set up 1Password!
Normally, if iCloud isn't an option after selecting "I've used 1Password before", that means it didn't find any 1Password data in your iCloud account. If I understand your setup, you have 2 Macs with 1Password, and iCloud sync is already enabled in 1Password on the older Mac. Is that correct? If so, can you please double-check the sync settings on the older Mac:
- On the older Mac, open 1Password and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences.
- Click the Sync tab.
- Make sure it shows your Primary vault is set to sync with iCloud. If it isn't, set up iCloud sync by following the steps here.
If iCloud sync is already enabled, please check to make sure you're using the same iCloud account on both Macs. You can do that by opening the System Preferences app and selecting iCloud. Your Apple ID (email address) needs to be exactly the same in that location on both Macs.
If the same problem is still happening on the new Mac, please check out some more troubleshooting steps here: Troubleshooting iCloud sync issues
You've already tried a couple things there, but please take a look to see if anything else on that page helps identify or solve the issue. Let us know how it all goes, and we'll continue from there. Thanks!
